Gnomes part 2
So glad I could entertain with photos of homes. To be clear, the homes listed did not make the cut for us to actually go see in person. The orange carpet stopped us in our tracks. I understand that carpet can be changed, walls can be painted, wet bars can be ripped out, garage doors can be fixed and freaky glowing eyed dogs can even be sent to live with another family. I just don't want to do any of those things if I can avoid it.

ReplyDeleteooooh man, there are so many houses like that up north (aka, northern utah) we've seen so many of these treats the last few months we've been looking for houses. It's like a 70s porn pad!
ReplyDeleteI support your decision on this one for multiple reasons, but one major one is the wood paneling. Speaking as someone who has two rooms covered with wood paneling right now, it's... blech. And in the 70s they used the wood paneling in lieu of drywall, so if you don't like it you have to take it out and then have the walls built from scratch. And to paint it takes coats of primer (and I'm too lazy/cheap to do it.)
