Creative Juices

I have an announcement: I opened an Etsy store. I know, can I be any more cliche? I'm an LDS woman, in Utah, with a blog, who likes to scrapbook and craft, and now has an Etsy store. Yikes.

All that aside, I'm excited to share my designs with other people. I've been making greeting cards, recipe cards, stationery and other stuff for a while now. I love graphic design. My creative juices have been overflowing making it difficult for me to complete tasks that are not in the creative realm.

To celebrate the grand opening of Cambalache by Gordita Designs, I'm hosting a giveaway (let's just pile on the cliches). I'm giving away one set of 12 Thank You cards (3 different designs not even listed in my store yet).

To enter, just write in the comment section about a time that you felt extra grateful. Simple, right? Comment by 11:30pm, mountain time, Friday, August 28, 2009 to enter.

In the meantime, try not to be too disappointed with me. I'm still me.

  1. Wow, good for you! I wish I had some of those juices. I will for sure comment on a time I was especially grateful...just recently we visited a ward member who has leukemia. So grateful we're all healthy among a million and one other reasons. Oh and I am grateful we have remained in touch since the big move. I know it's not all that often but I also know that no matter how much time passes it will still be all good. xoxox

  2. You should sell Mr. Giraffe on Etsy. I'd buy one.

  4. You will seriously be so blessed for starting that Etsy store. For real, though--I think Etsy stores are so cool. I honestly waste hours of my time browsing Etsy and contemplating what I could offer the crafting world.

Okay, so here is my gratitude comment: Once, my husband and I had sit up on the stand in our ward, which happened to be at the JS Building, and we didn't have anyone to watch our active little toddler. These two wonderful people offered to help us and all was well. I'm grateful for cool people that we met when we lived in Salt Lake.

Way to go opening your store. Maybe since I'm not in Utah I didn't realize that was a cliche!

So, I have never felt more grateful for good friends than I have this year of 2009. There are good people everywhere in every unexpected place, and I love to know that I have more than a handful of people who care in this world!

Great job on the store! Love it!

  12. Okay forgive me - I'm lame. I thought we were supposed to comment on the Etsy site. Now I get it. (:

    Grateful.....
I was grateful today when I took my baby to the Dr. because she's been making funny breathing noises, so I was worried, but it turns out she's okay. Plus they gave me some great tips to help her little self gain a bit more weight. Grateful for a healthy baby!
